Swing Set Photograph
What location and subject matter did you choose to shoot your photo?
I shot this photo while babysitting with my best friend. While playing outside I took this picture from the top of the clubhouse and from above the monkey bars I angled my camera slightly to take a dynamic photo with a lot of different line.
What is the distance in the shot? How close or far away from the subject were you?
I was extremely close to the swing set. My camera was actually almost laying on top of the edge of the monkey bars when I captured the image.
What was your point of view when you took the picture?
I took the picture from above the subject matter so that I could use the negative space between the lines of the monkey bars to be able to capture the lines of the swings and the shape of the tire swing.
Is your photo horizontal or vertical?
The picture is not straight on horizontal or vertical. It is taken at an angle however is mostly horizontal.
Did you consider the rule of thirds to compose your shot?
No.
Does your photo successfully lead the viewers eye through the work?
Yes. The many different lines or all different orientations lead the eye through the photo in all directions. The monkey bars lead the eye left and right while the lines of the swings bring the viewers eye up and down. Also the beam holding the monkey bars brings the eye fowards and backwards.
