First Picture - Traced Girl with Light Coming Out of Hand
1. Describe one of your photos drawing with light.
The photo that i think is the best is the first photograph in the set. In this photo my partner stood pointing and i traced her with a flashlight and then used a blue light to make it look like something was shooting out of her finger giving the image a mystical feel.
2. What shutter speed did you have the camera on?
In order to take this photo i set the shutter speed to 20 seconds so that i had enough time to take the photograph, get behind my partner, and make the effects with light.
3. What light source did you use to create the "painting?"
To take this photograph i used a flashlight to create the white outline of my partner then turned that light off and used a blue light sabor to create the blue lines that appear to be coming out of my partners hand.
4. How you achieve the image/effect?
I achieved the image and the effect by using a long shutter speed in order to have enough time to capture a lot of light. This shutter speed allowed me to use two light sources and trace my partner then add the light coming out of her fingers.
5. What impact does the photo have? How would the viewer be looking at your photo?
This photo has a mystical tone to it. The light coming out of her hand makes her look like a witch or a wizard or another mystical figure of that type. When a viewer looks at the image he should be seeing the image as a take on the classical fairytale world.
